Along Mexico’s northeastern Yucatán Peninsula lies a picturesque stretch of Caribbean coastline known as the Riviera Maya. With stunning white sand beaches, sacred ruins, beautiful seaside towns, and (of course!) epic dive sites, the region is a magical place to explore both on land and in the water.

The Riviera Maya is also one of the few places in the world where you can visit geological wonders known as cenotes — natural sinkholes where cave ceilings have collapsed, revealing entryways into an underground cave system flowing with crystal-clear fresh and salt water.

For this expedition, Azul Unlimited is teaming up with local dive experts at Darkside Divers to take you on an adventure to dive the vibrant reefs of Cozumel, a bull shark nursery off Playa del Carmen, and spectacular freshwater cenotes.

This expedition will include 7 nights accommodation in Playa del Carmen at The Fives Downtown Hotel, 3 days of cenote cavern diving (6 dives), 1 day diving with bull sharks (1 shark dive + 1 reef dive), 1 day diving in Cozumel (2 dives), and 1 half-day trip to the Tulum ruins. Minimum of Advanced Open Water Certification necessary to participate.
